These cover the website itself: what is here, what you may do with it, and what our descriptions do and do not promise. The terms of an actual booking are a separate document, agreed with you directly.
These terms
By using tourmotherlandventures.com you accept what is on this page. If you do not, please do not use the site. We may update these terms, and the date at the top will say when we last did.
Booking a trip is separate
Nothing on this website is a contract, an offer, or a booking. The terms that govern a trip, including what you pay and when, what happens if you or we cancel, and what happens if something outside anyone's control disrupts a departure, are provided and explained to you directly before you commit to anything. Those terms, not this page and not anything else on this site, are what govern your booking. Ask for them at any point and they will be sent to you.
What our descriptions mean
We describe experiences as honestly as we know how, and we photograph real trips rather than staging them. But much of what we arrange depends on people we do not employ and cannot direct: elders, chiefs, clergy, custodians of sites, partner operators and the authorities who license them.
So descriptions on this site are indicative of what a trip can include, not a guarantee of what yours will. An audience is granted when an elder is ready and willing, not because a web page listed it. Where something cannot happen, we say so and we replace it with something of comparable weight. Prices, inclusions and itineraries shown here may change, and what applies to you is what is written in your own booking documents.
Photographs and content
The photographs, written content, design and code on this site belong to Tour Motherland Ventures or are used with permission. The people in the photographs are real travellers and hosts who agreed to appear.
You may read, print and share pages for your own personal use, and you may link to any page. You may not copy, republish, sell or use our photographs or written content for your own commercial purposes, and you may not present our material as your own. If you would like to use something, write and ask.
Using the site
Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain access to parts of it that are not public, submit false information through our forms, or use anything here unlawfully. We may withdraw access to anyone doing so.
Links to other sites
We link to press coverage, social accounts and partner operators. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what is on them.
What we are responsible for
We take care to keep this site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we are not responsible for a loss caused by relying on general information here rather than on the written terms and itinerary issued for your own trip. Nothing on this page limits any responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Which law applies
Tour Motherland Ventures operates from the United States and from Ghana. The law that governs a booking is stated in your own booking documents. For questions about this website itself, please contact us first and we will try to settle it directly.
